Kyle's MRI results are in and the cancer has spread to his
brain. We have contacted a doctor at MD Anderson in Houston, TX who is
the best at helping treat this disease, to be of assistance through this
struggle. Are hopes were to go to Texas, but our insurance will not work
with this clinic. In order to go in the door they require $26,000 and
that's just the bare minimum!!!! As an alternative option, we are going
to have multiple doctors collaborate together. The collaboration will be
with our UW Health Oncolgy doctor, the Specialist doctor at Mayo (who actually
put at in himself to discover Kyle's final diagnosis), and the doctor at MD
Anderson (the ONLY doctor to do research on this particular cancer).
He
will start radiation tomorrow on his rib and shoulder to decrease his pain.
The following week, Kyle will start radiation on his brain to hopefully
start shrinking the tumors.
