Kyle's MRI results are in and the cancer has spread to his brain.  We have contacted a doctor at MD Anderson in Houston, TX who is the best at helping treat this disease, to be of assistance through this struggle.  Are hopes were to go to Texas, but our insurance will not work with this clinic.  In order to go in the door they require $26,000 and that's just the bare minimum!!!!  As an alternative option, we are going to have multiple doctors collaborate together.  The collaboration will be with our UW Health Oncolgy doctor, the Specialist doctor at Mayo (who actually put at in himself to discover Kyle's final diagnosis), and the doctor at MD Anderson (the ONLY doctor to do research on this particular cancer).  

He will start radiation tomorrow on his rib and shoulder to decrease his pain.  The following week, Kyle will start radiation on his brain to hopefully start shrinking the tumors.

After multiple weeks of waiting, Mayo Clinic called to deliver the final results from the advanced testing they requested on Kyle's biopsy from the beginning of May.  The final diagnosis is renal medullary carcinoma.  The most rare type of kidney cancer, only about 120 cases ever reported.  We are contacting MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX asap as this type of cancer is very aggressive.  Hopefully leaving right after the wedding to seek treatment.

Kyle and I are more than happy to annouce that we will be getting married on Sunday, June 22nd!  We are planning a small, initmate wedding gathering with family at an outdoor park right outside of Madison and are hoping for good weather :) We want to thank everyone for the ongoing support!
